日本語で自己紹介

はじめまして。Yahsin です。台湾出身です。

Ya (雅) means elegant, refined, and graceful. Hsin (信) means trust, faith, and confidence. 日本の名前は雅美(まさみ)と呼ばれます。雅「まさ」と雅「Ya」は同じ文字で、同じ意味ですが、単に発音が違うだけです。

約4年前、4週間日本語を勉強しました。文法の部分は理解できませんでした。日本人が実際に話しているのを聞くだけで、少しずつ理解できたと思います。

大学では英文学を専攻しました。大学では学生オーケストラに入ってクラリネットを担当していました(I was in the student orchestra, playing the clarinet.)。実はクラリネットは約4年間、ピアノは13年間続けていました。

大学卒業後すぐに「言語、文化、認知ラボ」というラボで研究助手として働き始めました。そこで初めてPythonやR言語などのプログラミング言語に触れました。

ラボ研究の経験の後、トレンドの技術やスタートアップビジネスに関する記事執筆とインタビューを始めました。雑誌の記事は英語と中国語で書いていました。オープンソース関連(open source-related conferences)のカンファレンスにたくさん参加して、インターネットスタートアップシーンをカバーしました。自分でもプログラミングを試してみました。

すぐに、自分が独学で習得する才能はプログラミング言語よりも、英語、フランス語、日本語などの外国語に優れていることに気づきました。Soon, I realized my self-learning talent lies more in foreign languages like English, French, and Japanese than in programming.

2016年4月、CCさんと私、他に数人のエンジニアと共に台北イーサリアムグループを立ち上げました。多数のミートアップを企画し、パネルをモデレートし、記事を執筆し、写真を撮影し、ビデオを録画し、オンラインイベントを開催しました。振り返ってみると、かなりの仕事量で、価値ある旅路でした。In April 2016, CC-san and I, along with a few other engineers, started the Taipei Ethereum Group. We organized numerous meetups, moderated panels, wrote articles, took photos, recorded videos, hosted online events; upon reflection, it was quite a lot of work and a valuable journey.

この旅の過程で、台北にオフィスを持つアメリカのテック企業にマーケティングマネージャーとして採用され、分散型公開鍵基盤（DPKI）のブロックチェーンプロジェクトに取り組みました。シニアのドイツ人テックリードと台湾人シニアソフトウェアエンジニアと密接に協力しました。その後、インターネットで有名な Mikerah さん(Toronto, Canada)によって設立されたカナダのテックコンサルティング企業にオペレーションリードとして参加しました。Multi-party computation (MPC)関連プロジェクトのプロジェクト管理、経理、人事、ビジネスオペレーション、マーケティングなどを担当し、要するに彼女が必要とするあらゆるタスクを手伝いました。 Along this journey, I was hired by an American tech company with offices in Taipei as marketing manager for a blockchain project on decentralized Public Key Infrastructure (DPKI). I worked closely with a senior German tech lead and a senior Taiwanese software engineer. Later, I joined a Canadian tech consulting firm founded by the internet-famous Mikerah-san, serving as operations lead. I handled project management, accounting, hiring, business operations, and marketing for multi-party computation-related projects, essentially any task she needed help with.

その後、一休みしてフランス語に興味を持ち始めました。この休憩中も、ソフトウェアとブロックチェーン技術には今なお関わり続けています。仕事からは離れましたが、この分野の輪からは外れていません。After that, I took a break and grew interested in the French language. I still keep in touch with software and blockchain technologies during this break. I may be out of work, but I’m not out of the loop.

日本への今後の旅行にワクワクしています。だから、この自己紹介を日本語で書きました。この機会に日本をもっと知ることができればと思いながら、初心者レベルの日本語を復習中です。I’m excited about my upcoming trip to Japan, so I wrote this self-introduction in Japanese. I hope to discover more about Japan this time while brushing up on my beginner-level Japanese.
